Custom Machine Guarding
Guarding is required to be affixed on or around machinery to ensure the protection of the employees from the hazards associated with the moving parts of the machine. This could include light curtains, physical blocks, interlocking guards and other safety devices.
Requirements for these guards can be found under Subpart O of the General Industry Standard. These standards also include older machines that may not have been designed with guarding in mind and they must be retrofitted with guarding in that case.
Safety Resources can design, fabricate, and install machine guarding for any machine to meet the OSHA Standards. Lockout/Tagout and Machine Guarding Training can also be completed by SRCO to help ensure the safety of workers around moving parts and hazardous energy.
