Hydrostatic Testing
This is the process of subjecting the breathing air cylinder to a pressure higher than during normal usage. Hydrostatic testing is done to verify that the structural integrity of the cylinder is sound and can properly contain safe breathing air. During testing the cylinder is monitored for dents, leaks, and other signs of weakness. A visual inspection is also completed during this time for any damage, corrosion or defects.
Testing should be completed at a minimum of every 5 years.
Refill Cylinders
SRCO is certified to refill SCBA bottles with breathing quality air.
